Diabetes & Endocrinology Care in Sandusky
When faced with a disorder of the endocrine system like diabetes, it’s important to have a local diabetes and endocrine specialist manage your care. A specialist you feel comfortable with can offer you the care and assistance you need to manage your condition so you can focus on what’s most important to you.
The Endocrine and Diabetes Center for Advanced Care at Firelands Regional Medical Center is committed to providing the highest quality of care for patients with diabetes, endocrine, and metabolic disorders, including:
- Diabetes: Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, and those using insulin pumps or continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Thyroid disorders
- Adrenal disorders
- Pituitary disorders
- Metabolic syndrome
- Obesity: Related to endocrine disorders
- Vitamin D deficiency
- Male and female reproductive system
If you have been diagnosed with one of the above conditions, the Endocrine and Diabetes Center for Advanced Care is now accepting self-referrals; or your primary care provider may refer you.
Our office staff includes Firelands Physician Group nurse practitioners who specialize in the care of people with diabetes:
- Jean Feick CNP, CDE
- Tondra Mapus FNP
As one of our patients, information regarding your current therapy is communicated to your primary care provider’s office after each endocrinology visit. We recognize that communication with you and your healthcare providers allows for continuity of care. We also work very closely with the Diabetes Self-Management Educational program at Firelands Regional Medical Center, which is staffed by a diabetes nurse educator and registered dietitian.
